FPA ADVISORY No. 2025-001

The Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) warns the general public, especially the farmers, NOT TO PURCHASE AND USE the product, GRO-E ALL-IN-ONE ORGANIC FOLIAR LIQUID FERTILIZER (Annex “A”),for it is not registered with FPA.
Section 9 of Presidential Decree No. 1144 (P.D. No. 1144) provides that [n]o pesticides, fertilizer, or other agricultural chemical shall be exported, imported, manufactured, formulated, stored distributed, sold or offered for sale, transported, delivered for transportation or used unless it has been duly registered with the FPA or covered by a numbered provisional permit issued by FPA for use in accordance with the conditions as stipulated in the permit.

Considering that “GRO-E All-In-One Organic Foliar Liquid Fertilizer” has not gone through the evaluation process of FPA, the agency cannot assure its quality and safety. Hence, all concerned establishments are warned not to distribute, advertise, or sell the aforementioned product, otherwise, appropriate penalties and sanctions shall be strictly imposed.

All FPA’s Regional and Provincial Personnel, Law Enforcement Agencies, and Local Government Units are requested to ensure that this product is not sold or made available in the market or areas of jurisdiction. Moreover, the Bureau of Customs is urged to restrain the entry of unregistered imported products.

FPA, ATI conducts responsible pesticide use training among Region II farmer leaders

February 6, 2025 | Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – To enhance food security and safety in the region, the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) Regional Field Unit (RFU) II in collaboration with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Region II conducted a training on the responsible use of agricultural pesticides in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya from February 3 to 5, 2025.
The training equipped farmer leaders with essential knowledge on proper handling of pesticides, regulations governing the fertilizer and pesticide industry, pesticide resistance management, good agricultural practices and integrated pest management to enhance productivity while minimizing risks to human health and the environment.
The collaboration between FPA and ATI underscores the shared commitment of both agencies in ensuring sustainable and responsible farming practices across the region.
A total of thirty participants, composed of farmer leaders, LGU officials, and agricultural extension workers, participated in the said training.
The event was made possible through the leadership of ATI Region II Center Director Dr. Claris M. Alaska, represented by Mr. Jhimcelle V. Salvador, OIC Assistant Center Director, in partnership with FPA Region II, led by Mr. Leonardo Bangad. ###
