Triple rinsing is applicable for those small holder farmers who do not have mechanical rinsing equipment. It has three stages:<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\">\u00a0<\/p><ul style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-left: 50px; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Empty the container of its contents into the mixing tank and drain for 30 seconds;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Rinse the container at least 3 times with a volume of water not less than 10% of the container\u2019s total volume; and,<\/span><\/li><li style=\"box-sizing: inherit;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Add the rinsate each time to the mixing tank<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A rinsate is a pesticide-containing liquid which is a result from rinsing a pesticide container, pesticide equipment, or other pesticide-containing materials (Pesticide Regulatory Policies and Implementing Guidelines).<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\">\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Pesticide dealers are the primary collection points of properly rinsed EPC. Then, they will be sent to the nearest DENR-EMB accredited waste generator like the Local Government Units (LGU), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) or private sectors that are compliant with the provisions of Republic Act 6969. \u00a0Though the disposal is under the DENR-EMB\u2019s jurisdiction, the FPA continuously monitor the activity.
