Napalit discussed the proper handling and storage of farm inputs and the importance of reading the pesticide product label, specifically the Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) and the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL). She also emphasized the importance of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following good housekeeping practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">PHI is the minimum amount of time between the last application of a pesticide and when the crop can be harvested. On the other hand, MRL represents the maximum amount of pesticide residues that are expected to remain on a food product when the pesticide is used according to label directions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p style=\"box-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 0rem; margin-left: 12px; font-size: 11px; clear: left; color: #0a0a0a; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif; background-color: #fefefe;\"><span style=\"box-sizing: inherit; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Moreover, FPA encouraged the farmers to patronize fertilizers and pesticides registered by the FPA and to only purchase those products from FPA-licensed dealers and distributors.
